Song: “The Wind” by Cat Stevens

Movie: (Almost Famous)

In the film Almost Famous, Stillwater’s career is brought to new heights when they play a concert in Cincinnati.  Afterwards, as they meet with their new manager who promises to bring them even more fame and fortune, Penny Lane returns to the stage which is littered with petals, trash and paper.  However, among all the debris she is able to find beauty in the moment and magic in the memory as she dances around the stage with a bittersweet smile on her face.  She pirouettes and spins to Cat Stevem’s The Wind and soaks in the memory of the night. “ I listen to my words but they fall far below. I let my music take me where my heart wants to go.”  Penny is deep in thought as she wistfully recollects the memory and the magic that it holds in her heart.

If you need to feel retrospective and turn inward for a good look at yourself and what is happening around you, The Wind is the perfect song to accompany your thought process.  “I  listen to the wind, to the wind of my soul.  Where I’ll end up, well, I think only God really knows.”  The soft music, simple guitar and gentle lyrics will give you time to pause and think about life and where you are going.  While the moments you cherish may be over, they can live on in your heart, mind and memory.
